, the GRANDPARENTS & SENIORCITIZENS DAY held every first Sunday  ofSeptember and which is highlighted by the “ALAY KAY LOLO AT LOLA”  is another family-related event, next to Mother’s Day,  Father’s Day and Family & Parents Week Celebration  popularized by civicleader-journalist JONATHAN N. NAVEA in the Philippines.

Although a already a worldwide celebration, various commercialestablishments organize yearly activities to honor the senior citizens of the country, particularly Hallmarks which publishes greetings cards to honor  grandparents.

Outstanding Grandparents and Senior Citizens, together with Outstanding Consumer Products and Companies which contributed to the general well-being of the senior citizens are being honored. Celebrity Grandparents & SeniorCitizens are also being honored to add glitter and festivity to the event, as well as top entertainers who provide entertainment numbers. Major organizer is the IDEAL PARENTS & FAMILYFOUNDATION (IPFF) jointly with the NATIONAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS FOUNDATION (NCAF).

Mission & Vision
The project aims to promote ideal parenthood and parental respect worldwide.  Proceeds benefit the IPFF / NCAF Youth Scholarship & Livelihood Program, as well as Senior Citizens & Home for the Aged Program. The EMCOR Star Learning Center inSan Pedro, Laguna, Philippines is a joint civic venture with IPFF and NCAF to provide scholarship to gifted youths and children thru its year-round special talent development program.
